St. Paul AME Church proudly participated in the community's Juneteenth Celebration, joining civic leaders and residents in honoring the history, resilience, and enduring legacy of freedom. This event was organized by Commissioner Chakira Johnson. Pastor Bowers and City Council member Elaine Vaughn represented the church alongside Stone Mountain Mayor Jelani Linder, DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson, former DeKalb County CEO Burrell "Burt" Ellis, and other DeKalb County and local leaders. The celebration brought together faith, government, and the community for a meaningful observance featuring fellowship, cultural reflection, and a renewed commitment to unity, justice, equality, and continued progress throughout Stone Mountain and DeKalb County.

The Eppinger & Lewis Funeral Home hosted its 1st Annual Community Back-to-School Giveaway on Saturday, July 25, 2026, creating a vibrant afternoon of support and fellowship for local families in Stone Mountain, Georgia. From 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the event provided students with essential backpacks and school supplies to prepare them for the upcoming academic year. The neighborhood gathering drew prominent community support, including City of Stone Mountain representative Elaine Vaugh, alongside the youth and pastor of New St. Paul, who actively shared in the day's activities. Beyond the educational gear, the bash fostered a festive atmosphere complete with music, games, free clothing, and complimentary food and drinks. The event also featured specialized raffles, including vouchers for free children's haircuts, ensuring neighborhood youth head back to the classroom feeling confident and fully prepared.
